A Queen Anne Christmas

As we all know, Christmas 2020 was very different from previous years. As a family, it was also our last time together under one roof. Our daughter is moving out, and we are selling our home and heading to warmer weather. (Rest assured, we will continue to serve our clients in Seattle, nationwide, and around the world through our Seattle design studio.) While we are still in this home together, it was important to honor our years here, 18 of them, and to celebrate each other.

As designers, we just couldn’t help but celebrate the season in a way that was as coordinated and aesthetically pleasing as the branding and design work we do for our clients. We put up not one but three trees, arranged flowers, and wrapped gifts in a very color coordinated way. Even our stockings and pillows matched! This colorful take on Christmas décor perfectly suited the aesthetic of our faithfully restored 1911 Queen Anne, Seattle home. It also complemented artistic elements like Emma Jean Brown’s “faces”, which is available on our new online store.

Hopefully, Christmas 2021 will allow us to gather in person again, in larger groups and indoors! In anticipation of that opportunity, we are working on a new line of holiday items, which will be added to our online store this Fall, including stockings, coasters, and more. The sleek lines and vibrant colors of our Christmas stockings perfectly match our Kvadrat felt and goose down pillows. Our leather Christmas coasters are gold stamped with a holiday greeting, making them the perfect addition to your coffee table, stocking stuffer, or hostess gift. And as with all of our serving trays, placemats, portfolios, binders, menus, and other hospitality products, these special holiday gifts and Christmas décor items are all handmade in Seattle.

However you celebrated Christmas 2020 and no matter how you celebrate the holidays in 2021 and beyond, we wish you health and happiness for years to come.
